Why solar.

Smartscan chose to go with solar power as it was more convenient for their needs and the environment. It allowed them to save money from hiring contractors to prepare the groundwork that a grid powered column would require and also the rising cost of electricity encouraged their decision.

What they do.

Smartscan Ltd, a British company focused on machinery safety systems and machine safety products was founded in 1987 and is now a leading UK manufacturer of machine safety products for machinery safeguarding applications. Smartscan has continued to grow the business and now has its own company representation in both the USA and Taiwan.

Why they needed the Permus.

Smartscan approached us regarding the Permus as they had a lot of unwanted visitors on the land in front of their building. They didn’t want to dig trenches and deal with all the groundwork as the area they needed the light would have restricted access to the building for a long time.

After speaking with us, they opted for our no maintenance permanent solution. Along with building bigger gates and applying a fence to corden of the area, the Permus gave them the extra security needed to ward off any activity.
